One of the main reasons people come to Ica is to go to the oasis of Huacachina in the middle of the desert and its sand dunes. It’s also a nice place to relax, with warm sunshine.v

I booked myself on a buggy ride on the Dunes. It was an unforgettable experience. It was like going up and down the waves of the sea except we were on the sand. It turned there was a crew filming so the drivers were particularly in a good mood and keen to show off their best dune riding skills.

Aside from the rides, it is also an amazing feeling being in the middle of the desert. Soothing!

The night Peru qualified for the World Cup contest

It was some party up on the terrasse of the hostel. Everyone brought out their “cajones” and anything that would make noise, to support their team. And they won against New Zealand, qualifying for the first time in 30 years.
